Ghana saw their qualification to the next Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) delayed as they failed to win against Madagascar after a goalless draw in Antananarivo on Sunday.
Irrespective matter the outcome, Ghana maintains their grip on Group E of the AFCON qualifiers with 9 points. They are in a good position because they only need to avoid defeat to seal their place in the competition.
Here is the breakdown of how the individual players of the Black Stars fared in the match.
Lawrence Ati Zigi -6: Nothing from the attack of Madagascar kept him busy earning him another clean sheet. He was however superb in dealing with the aerial balls.
Denis Odoi -5: Calm on the right flank with good recoveries. Crosses were however not enough.

Daniel Amartey- 5.5: Dealt well with the attacking runs of his opponents despite a few threats.
Joseph Aidoo – 5.5: Made vital clearances with good interceptions. Did well to start several attacks with forward passes.
Patrick Kpozo – 6: Not a bad debut for the Sheriff Tiraspor man but will have more to do to convince Hughton to keep starting even if Baba Rahman and Gideon Mensah are available.
Thomas Partey -6.5: Had a good game compared to his previous giving Ghana their only shot on target from a freekick. Was arguably Ghana’s best player swinging around some great passes.
Salis Abdul Samed – 6: Improved on his usual trademark of maintaining possession by surging forward to create chances. Once again, he shielded the defence diligently.

Joseph Paintsil – 5.5: Tried to trouble his opponents from the right flank but his runs were less effective this time.
Kamaldeen Sulemana – 6: His undoubtful pace and dribbling skills were evident once more but failed to convert them into the desired result.
Andre Ayew (C) – 6: For the first time in one year, Ayew lasted the full throttle of a Black Stars game but had to play through pain having sustained a cut on his upper eyelid. Was great with his hold-up play but lacked enough energy to push forward.
Jordan Ayew – 6: Attacked well with some excellent dribbles eventually winning some freekicks. Also made nice deliveries which did not end well.

Ernest Nuamah – 5: Confident throughout his stay despite playing for the first time for the Black Stars. Proved he could do more with more time.
Osman Bukari – 5: Was very direct with impactful runs. Could have broken the deadlock but for a swift delay.
Mohammed Kudus – 5: Made a mark by trying to get the needed goal despite spending just about 10 minutes on the pitch.
