Kudus Mohammed subbed off injured on UEFA Champions League debut

Ghanaian International, Kudus Mohammed was substituted after picking a knock on his UEFA Champions League debut against Liverpool.

Ajax hosted Liverpool at the Yohan Cryuijff Arena in their opening fixture of the 2020/2021 UEFA Champions League season. They lost to Liverpool by one goal to nil.

Erik Ten Hag handed Kudus Mohammed his first start in the UEFA Champions League when he lined up in a 4-3-3 formation where Kudus Mohammed operated as the number 9.

The youngster who has been in fine form for Ajax Amsterdam domestically lasted only eight minutes in the game. He limped off after he went into challenge with Luis Fabinho in the early stages of the game.

Quincy Promes then replaced the former Right to dream player.

The extent of the injury is not yet known.
