Asante Kotoko suffered their first home defeat of the season to Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday thanks to a late strike from Issah Aziz in the 39th minute.

The Porcupines who went into the game seeking a win after losing to Nsoatreman in their previous game were unfortunate as the Still Believe lads stunned them adding to their inconsistencies in the season.

Prosper Ogum in a bid to at least win a point introduced Somuah Boateng, Enoch Morision and Georges Mfuege after half-time but all attempts to restore parity proved futile.

Dreams FC rather succeeded in holding on to the lead and getting their second win in three games against the Porcupine Warriors.

While Dreams FC rose to 11th after the game, Kotoko have now sunk to 14th on the league log.

In other games, Medeama SC beat Legon Cities 1-0 at the El-Wak Stadium. Aduana Stars accended to the top of the table with a slim win over Hearts of Lions while Boafwaka Tano bounced back from their defeat to Aduana Stars with a 1-0 win over Nations FC at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

At the Golden City Park, Berekum Chelsea secured a narrow victory over FC Samartex.
Bibiani Goldstars held Accra Lions to a 1-1 draw at Duns Park and Real Tamale United against Bechem United ended in a stalemate.

Great Olympics will wrap up the matchday nine with a clash against Nsoatreman FC on Monday afternoon.
