The first round of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League concluded last Sunday, with several matches still pending. Despite the pending fixtures, the first round has already offered intriguing insights into the league’s dynamics, and ahead of the resumption of play, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has released key statistics.

  • FC Samartex and Aduana FC secured the most home wins, each boasting 8 victories in the first round.

 

  • A total of 283 goals were scored in 145 matches, with 8 matches yet to be played to officially conclude the first round.
  • Defending champions Medeama SC and MTN FA Cup holders Dreams FC have four games each remaining in January to officially close the first round.
  • FC Samartex leads the league table with 32 points, followed by Aduana FC with 30 points and Asante Kotoko with 29 points. Newly promoted Nations FC secured 27 points to finish fourth.
