Head Coach of the Black Satellites, Karim Kizito in a post match conference has disclosed he did not want to be beaten twice by the Gambia U20 team.

The Black Satellites played the Young Scorpions in the group stages of the AFCON U20 competition and lost 2-1 despite the team taking the lead in the early minutes of the game.

However, Karim Kizito’s men won by 1-0 in the semis and he has stated emphatically he did not want to be slapped twice by the Gambians so he went back to watch the previous meeting and he took some notes from it.

“I revisited the match they played against us and I saw that we gave them enough space to operate, especially the number 14, 10, 8, 20 and 12 so we tracked them and denied them space” he said.

He also said his team wanted the spot in the final more than his opponents.

“We were more determined and our attitude was different from the previous encounter, we wanted to win” he added.

The Black Satellites will face the Young Cranes of Uganda on March 6. A win will see them lift the trophy for the fourth time in the history of the competition.
