The Chief Executive Officer of Sunyani-based Suncity Radio, Mr. Ransford Antwi, has described accomplished businessman, sports administrator Herbert Mensah as a true gift of God to Ghana. He said Mr. Mensah has demonstrated and proven that one needs not to be a politician or hold political position to put his expertise at the disposal of the country. Speaking to journalists when the May 9 Foundation marked 17th anniversary of the May 9 stadium disaster, Mr. Antwi acknowledged the ability of Herbert Mensah, a former CEO  of Kumasi Asante Kotoko football club, to have single-handedly celebrated the tragic event for years, aside taking care of victims and relatives of the deceased. “I hope one day he will rise to become president, sports minister or even be re-appointed by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene and custodian of Kotoko team to get the club back to where it truly belongs. “Ghana needs a gem like Herbert to revive its dwindling soccer fortunes,” Mr. Antwi elaborated. He said Mr. Mensah has proven records of his acumen for transformation, citing his frontline role in developing the game of Rugby in the country to the extent that Ghana is hosting Rugby tournament, as well as the sparkle he brought to Kotoko under his leadership. “Herbert Mensah has been an inspiration to me from our long standing relationship, his pieces of advice, encouragement and mentorship have been of immense benefit to my personal life and social status, and I believe he is a real force to reckon with, in the socio-economic and political transformation of our nation”, the Suncity Radio boss testified.
