Hearts of Oak’s Public Relations Officer Kwame Opare Addo has called on the fans of the club to be optimistic about the team’s last game of the season instead of making complaints about their recent poor form.

After 33 matches the Phobians have lost 12 games including a recent four losses in a row which has dropped them to the 11th position ending their hopes of a top four finish and even making them more vulnerable to be relegated than ever.

With 45 points, Hearts of Oak are just three points above the drop zone and are now among the six teams who will battle for survival on the last day.

Opare Addo admitted the challenges but advised the fans to rather think positively ahead of the last match.

“When the team wins, everybody wants to take credit for that but if turns out negatively, people begin to blame individuals.

“I think we would have to advise ourselves not to fully focus on the past but rather think more about the future assignments. We have lost four matches in a row and this is very painful and I know no true Hearts of Oak supporter will take it easy.

“But if we will focus on the four defeats and allow it to weigh us down we would not be able to focus on our last game. And at the end of it all, your cry and my cry will amount to nothing.

In their last game of the season, Hearts of Oak will play 10th-placed Berekum Chelsea.
