Chances, missed penalties and great display of football – the Super Clash between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak fairly lived up to expectation.

The two sides each missed from the spotkick together with clear opportunities they failed to convert.

Kwame Opoku was brought down as early as the 5th minute to give Kotoko a penalty. He missed from the spot after stepping up to take it.

Kojo Obeng Jnr had a one-on-one chance with Razak Abalora but the latter pulled a great save to deny him the opener. The winger had surged through
the Kotoko defence only to be denied by Abalora.

The first half of the game ended goaless.

Accra Hearts of Oak super substitute Isaac Mensah was introduced into the game in the second half – he replaced Kojo Obeng Jnr who was a pale shadow of himself throughout the time he spent on the pitch.

Few minutes after being introduced, he also won a penalty for Hearts of Oak and missed it.

Both teams had their fair share of the chances created and missed all.

Abalora won the Man of the match award.

Kotoko and Hearts are level on points – they both have 27 points with Kotoko having two outstanding games.
