Hasaacas Ladies in Egypt for maiden CAF Women’s Champions League

Hasaacas Ladies arrived in Egypt on Monday for the first edition of CAF Women’s Champions League.

The Ghanaian champions qualified for the tournament after winning the WAFU Zone B championship in August this year.

Hasaacas Ladies are led by coach Yussif Basigi who is very confident of a successful campaign in the north African country.

Basigi named 23 players for the tournament Milot Pokua, Janet Agyiri and Doris Boaduwaa.

The trio inspired Hasaacas Ladies to the domestic double, winning the Women’s Premier League and FA Cup, and excelled in WAFU tournament in Ivory Coast.

Hasaacas Ladies are placed in Group A alongside Egypt’s Wadi Degla AS Mande from Mali and Malabo Kings of Equatorial Guinea.

Group B of the competition consists of Kenya’s Vihiga Queens, Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, AS FAR of Morocco and River Angels from Nigeria.

The tournament will take place from 5-19 November 2021 in Cairo.

Hasaacas Ladies’ first game is against Malabo Kings.
