Great Olympics and Hearts of Oak played to a tense goalless draw at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday in the first  Ga-Mashie derby of the season.

The match showcased a thrilling encounter where both teams had opportunities but failed to convert.

Despite a goalless first half, Hearts of Oak had the better chances, with Salifu Ibrahim hitting the crossbar and Enoch Asubonteng missing a crucial header from Kashala’s cross. Michael Osei’s indecision also cost the Dade Boys a potential lead.

The second half mirrored the first, with Hearts dominating the game. Substitute Cisse and Hamza Issah came close to breaking the deadlock, but the referee waved off strong penalty claims by the Phobians in stoppage time.
