Winner of TV3’s Ghana Strongest Ahmed Boakye from the Ashanti Region has expressed optimism of defending his title in the next edition of the competition.

With a total of 96 points amassed in the final held at the Elli Beach Resort in Tegbi near Keta in the Volta Region on Sunday, August 16, Ahmed Boakye became the winner of this year’s Ghana’s Strongest reality show.

The Kumasi-based athlete beat competition from Prosper Dakora, Mustapha Arhin and Godfred Akolbila to be champion, taking over from Victor Ampofo.

He was awarded a car plus a cash of GH¢5,000.

Ahmed, who has been partaking in the competition since 2016, said he worked hard and learnt from all the previous years he was on the show to make sure he passed every round of the competition this season.

“The judges noticed my improved performance and recognized how determined I am to win the competition this year,” he said on TV3’s New Day Tuesday, August 18.

“I hope to defend the title next season,” he said.
