Ghanaian forward Benjamin Tetteh has completed a permanent move to the newly promoted French Ligue 1 team FC Metz, for an undisclosed fee.

The 26-year-old had made the switch to the English Championship club from Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor in July of the previous year. During the 2022/23 season, he featured in 17 games for the Tigers, although his progress was hampered by injuries.

Among his notable contributions, Tetteh notched his solitary goal for the City in a 2-0 home victory against West Bromwich Albion in March. His powerful angled strike, recognized as our Goal of the Month, showcased his prowess on the field.

The forward also provided three assists, two of which were against the Baggies. Moreover, he played a key role in securing a penalty from which Ozan Tufan scored our opening goal of the previous season against Bristol City.

Tetteh, who had a one-year stint with Dreams FC during his youth career, boasts seven appearances for the Black Stars.
