Ghana’s Black Stars have been drawn in Group G in the second round of qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup to be held in Qatar. At the draw held in Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday, Ghana were drawn with South Africa, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia. Ghana and South Africa will have to make the required strategies count as the two African football giants are already locked in the same group in qualifiers for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. The battle for a place in the play-offs of the World Cup qualifiers will come foremost in any strategies to be plotted by coaches CK Akunnor and Molefi Ntseki. The first matches in the groups are scheduled to be played on October 5, 2020 and the last matches on October 12, 2021. Zimbabwe and Ethiopia will play in the shadows of Ghana and South Africa but will pose the deciders in Group G. African champions Algeria were drawn in Group A with Burkina Faso, Niger and Djibouti.
