The Minister of Youth and Sports, Isaac Kwame Asiamah, has called on football administrators to make football an attractive brand.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has been unable to complete a league season in recent history following series of ethical cases hanging on the necks of some of the top individuals belonging to the association.

The famous Anas exposé in June 2018 led to the formation of the FIFA and Government of Ghana’s Normalization Committee and the recent Covid-19 pandemic led to the suspension of the 2019/2020 season on March 15, 2020 and later invalidated by the GFA.

Mr Asiamah, who appeared as a special guest at the 26th Ordinary Congress of the Association on Tuesday September 1, advised congressmen to preach the positive side of football to avoid sullying the image of Ghana football.

“When you damage a brand it affects you. It is critical. We need to make it attractive,” he said.

He furthered said: “Let us be guided by these principles. Sanctity, Integrity and Image of the game.”
