Top clubs in France, Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Croatia, and Norway have shown keen interest in forming partnerships with the Kenpong Football Academy.

This enthusiasm follows a thorough European tour undertaken by the Academy’s Chief Executive Officer and renowned business contractor, Mr. Kennedy Agyepong, commonly known as Kenpong.

During his travels, Kenpong finalized negotiations with clubs and individuals aimed at collaborating on player development and improving facilities at the state-of-the-art Academy located in Winneba.

Speaking in a telephone interview, Kenpong revealed that three top European sides have already sealed deals and are scheduled to visit Ghana in the coming weeks.

Among these partnerships, French club Bastia have committed to providing materials for the construction of a modern astro turf pitch to complement the Academy’s existing grass turf.

Additionally, Bastia will offer significant financial support to the project. In return, Kenpong Academy will facilitate the transfer of promising talents to Bastia and other European clubs.

The manifestation of Bastia’s partnership will be evident through promotional materials and marketing insignia at the Kenpong Academy.

The football pitch and playing kits will prominently feature their unique collaboration with Bastia, demonstrating the French team’s commitment to bolstering the development of Kenpong Academy.

As part of their efforts to enhance the technical department of Kenpong Football Academy, Bastia has appointed a top-class coach to lead its coaching department.

Reflecting on his European tour, Kenpong described it as fruitful yet demanding. Despite the extensive travel, he emphasized that the engagements were rewarding. He expressed gratitude for the warm reception received from club CEOs, highlighting their admiration for his dedication in developing the Academy.

Kenpong expressed appreciation for the President of S. C. Bastia, Claude Ferrandi, and Technical Director Eric Descombes for their exceptional hospitality during his visit. He commended their professionalism and thanked them for their support.

Last year, Kenpong, along with former Black Stars Coach and Captain Kwesi Appiah, visited clubs in Spain and France.

In late 2023, high-ranking officials from Spanish giants Barcelona visited the Winneba-based academy and subsequently met with the Youth and Sports Minister, Mustapha Yussif.
