A few positives came from the recent friendlies of the Black Stars in Morocco. Despite the team failing to pick a win against Nigeria and Uganda, one of the bright sparks was seeing young players get an opportunity with the national team.
Ebenezer Annan received a late call-up and replaced the injured Gideon Mensah in the squad. The 21-year-old is currently on loan with Serbian side Novi Pazar from Bologna.
The left-back caught the eye of Otto Addo playing a combined 135 minutes in the two games.
Forson Amankwah has been in and around the team making the provisional squad for the 2023 squad. He had to wait for three months before making his Black Stars debut.
The RB Salzburg midfielder started the game against Nigeria and came on as a substitute against Uganda.

Addo described the 21-year-old as one that Ghana can look to for so many years.
Francis Abu also got an opportunity in the heart of midfield against Uganda and barely put a foot wrong.
The Right to Dream graduate who plies his trade in Belgium with Cercle Brugge can play deep in midfield or higher up.
Ibrahim Osman will be slightly disappointed after getting just a minute each in the two friendlies. But at 19, he is expected to have a lot more opportunities with the national team.
The tricky winger has enjoyed his first full season with FC Nordsjaelland and has been rewarded with a move to Premier League side Brighton in the summer.
With so many key players out, Addo had to dig deep into the pool of players and trust some of these young players. The real test for these players will be when the big guns return in three months when Ghana makes the trip to Bamako to face Mali.
