Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel was unsatisfied with Thomas Muller’s performance in their big win against Union Berlin despite a brace from the German international.

Bayern Munich thumped Union Berlin by 5-1 with Thomas Muller scoring twice to reach five goals in the Bundesliga in the ongoing season. Muller was back in the starting lineup for Bayern Munich against Union Berlin on Saturday after sitting on the bench for the entire game against Arsenal.

However, Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel wasn’t satisfied with the performance of the experienced attacker.

“His form wasn’t good today. The goals were absolutely great, but the form wasn’t good.

Tuchel also made it clear that Muller had to earn a starting spot in the first Champions League semifinal against Real Madrid on April 30.

“He knows that, He still has to earn it. He saw the game the same way,” He said.

Thomas Muller agreed with what Tuchel said and made it clear during his interview after the game.

“It wasn’t an easy game for me today. I wasn’t happy with the way I played, The goals were great, of course, but unfortunately he also watched the rest of the game. Then we both laughed,” Müller told Sky Germany.

Bayern have already missed out on the Bundesliga tittle and the DFB Pokal, however they are still in contention to win the Champions League and Tuchel will hope Muller and the other players will be in hot form come April 30 when they face Real Madrid.
