Spain won their second major title in six months by defeating France in the inaugural UEFA Women’s Nations League final.

Building on their World Cup triumph in August 2023, Spain secured a comfortable victory in Seville with goals from Aitana Bonmati and Mariona Caldentey.

Ballon d’Or winner Bonmati opened the scoring from close range in the 32nd minute, and Caldentey sealed the win with a crisp, first-time finish after the break.

France, led by Herve Renard, failed to threaten and didn’t manage a single shot on target.

The match drew a record crowd of 32,657 to Estadio La Cartuja, surpassing the 21,856 who attended Spain’s semi-final victory over the Netherlands at the same venue on Friday.
