Black Stars coach Otto Addo oversaw a practice session with 23 players on Wednesday, readying them for Friday’s encounter against Nigeria.

Initially, 13 players commenced preparations, later welcoming the remainder of the squad on Tuesday evening.

As Ghana embarks on a fresh phase under Addo, the players seem primed and enthusiastic to secure their spot on the team. These friendly matches serve as an evaluation platform for coach Addo ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June and ensuing commitments.

Among the players in camp are: Osman Bukari, Edmund Addo, Jerome Opoku, Forson Amankwaah, Ebenezer Annan, Baba Iddrisu, Francis Abu, Tariq Lamptey, and Lawrence Ati-Zigi.

Additionally, the camp comprises Andre Ayew, Jordan Ayew, Kasim Nuhu, Antoine Semenyo, Abdul Samed Salis, Patrick Kpozo, Alidu Seidu, Joseph Wollacott, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Denis Odoi, Ernest Nuamah, Osman Ibrahim, Abdulai Nurudeen, and Frederick Asare.

Notable absentees include Turkey-based defender Daniel Amartey, whose nonappearance remains unexplained, alongside injured duo Mohammed Kudus and Nathaniel Adjei.

Furthermore, midfielder Diomande Mohamed opted out, weighing his international future after earning call-ups from both Ghana and Ivory Coast.

Following Nigeria, Ghana faces Uganda in Marrakech.
