Despite an early setback, with Abdul Rahman putting Nsoatreman in the lead just before half-time, Asante Kotoko turned the tide in the second half.
Steven Mukwala delivered a spectacular equalizer in the 57th minute, connecting flawlessly with Lamptey’s precise corner kick from the corner.
Later in the game, Nurudeen’s foul resulted in a penalty opportunity for Nsoatreman, but goalkeeper Frederick Asare showcased his skills with a remarkable save.
The turning point came in the 67th minute when Peter Amidu capitalised on a well-executed pass to secure the winning goal for the Porcupines. The young talent received Lamptey’s precise pass from the midfielder and delivered a first-time shot, sealing the victory.
