Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has unveiled intriguing insights into his potential career trajectories, disclosing that he would have pursued law or music if he hadn’t embarked on his illustrious football journey.

Gyan, renowned for his exceptional goal-scoring prowess during his stints with clubs in Europe and Asia as well as the Ghana national team, shared his thoughts on alternative professions during an interview with 3FM.

When questioned about his hypothetical career choices beyond football, Gyan revealed, “A musician or a lawyer, because you never win against me when it comes to arguments. You never win. I always find a way to win.”

In response to whether he would contemplate attending law school, Gyan remarked, “Maybe. Never say never. Now we’re focusing on the All Regional Games, and we want to change the sports fraternity; we want the other generation to benefit from it.”

Remarkably, Gyan has already dabbled in music, collaborating on several songs with his friend and highlife singer, Castro, who has been missing since mid-2014.

Gyan has expressed his deep-seated passion for music, which he continued to pursue alongside his illustrious football career.

Having officially retired from professional football in June 2023, the former Udinese forward leaves behind a remarkable legacy spanning over two decades. He holds the distinction of being Ghana’s all-time leading goal scorer with 51 goals and the country’s second most-capped player, amassing 109 appearances for the national team.

Furthermore, Gyan remains the highest-scoring African player in the World Cup, having netted six goals across three editions of the prestigious tournament.
