The past weekend saw exciting football action across various leagues in Europe, with Ghanaian players making their mark in their respective teams.

From the English Premier League to the Greek Super League, Ghanaians proved their worth with impressive performances.

Leading the pack was Mohammed Kudus, who plays for West Ham United in the Premier League. Kudus delivered a stellar performance in his team’s 3-1 comeback victory over Everton, providing an assist for Thomas Soucek’s goal.

This takes his total number of assists in the league to three, and he has now contributed to his team’s score sheet in each of his last two games. With an 83.6% accurate passing rate and 66 successful dribbles, Kudus is proving to be a valuable asset for West Ham.

Antoine Semenyo, who plays for Bournemouth, also had a notable performance in the Premier League. He scored his fifth league goal of the season in his team’s 2-0 win over Burnley in what was his 200th club appearance. He also took his total number of shots on target to 20 out of 30.

Semenyo’s expected goals and assists tally stands at 3.88, but he has already surpassed that with six-goal contributions.

In the Serbian Super Liga, Osman Bukari continues to impress with Red Star Belgrade. He has scored seven goals and provided four assists in 17 starts this season, including a brace against Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Bukari’s previous season saw him secure 16 goal contributions in the league, and he looks set to exceed that number this year.

Joseph Paintsil, who recently transferred to LA Galaxy from Genk, made his mark in the MLS with a goal and an assist in his team’s 3-1 win over San Jose Earthquakes.

Paintsil’s previous season saw him grab 17 goals and 12 assists in 36 appearances, making him one of Ghana’s brightest stars in the MLS.

Finally, Baba Rahman, who plays for PAOK in the Greece Super League, secured his fourth league goal of the season in his team’s 2-0 win over Lamia.

Baba Rahman is Ghana’s highest-scoring defender in Europe this season with four goals.

Rahman’s movement and attacking positioning have been impressive this season, adding to his overall output. He also has two assists to his name in the league this season, which is a personal best for the 29-year-old defender.

It was the left-back’s first game since he collapsed during a Greek Cup match.

Other notable mentions include Denis Odoi, who scored a goal for Club Brugge in their 3-0 win over Genk in the Belgium Pro League.

This was Odoi’s first goal in the league this season and his first in all competitions.

Overall, it was a positive weekend for Ghanaian players in Europe, with several impressive performances that showcased their talent and dedication. We can expect even greater things from these players as the season progresses.
