Brighton & Hove Albion has successfully reached an agreement with Nordsjaelland to sign highly sought-after Ghanaian youngster Ibrahim Osman.

The 19-year-old forward, who has been the subject of interest from various clubs, including West Ham United, is set to join Brighton in the summer.

The skillful was on the verge of joining the Hammers but for a controversy involving final fees.

Brighton’s offer, reportedly around €19.5 million, has been accepted by the Danish top-flight side Nordsjaelland. Osman has already undergone a medical examination in preparation for the official confirmation of the move.

Osman’s rise in professional football has been rapid, making 27 appearances for Nordsjaelland since his first-team debut last season, where he scored two goals. The talented Ghanaian forward initially joined Nordsjaelland from the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana and made his senior debut for the Danish club in February 2023.

His journey mirrors that of Brighton’s Ivorian forward, Simon Adingra, who also began his career at the Right to Dream Academy before making a move to Nordsjaelland.

Osman is part of a growing list of Ghanaian talents who have followed a similar trajectory, starting at the Right to Dream Academy, progressing to FC Nordsjaelland, and eventually making a move to a top-flight league.

Notable names like Kamaldeen Sulemana, Mohammed Kudus, and Ernest Nuamah have paved the way, showcasing the success of this developmental pathway for Ghanaian talents.

As Brighton secures the services of Ibrahim Osman, the club looks forward to welcoming another promising talent to their ranks and continues to build on the success of their recruitment strategy.
