Ghana’s hopes of going further in the 2024 Futsal Africa Cup of Nations were dashed when they lost badly to Angola 11-3 in their last group match, eliminating them from contention.

They started the trip with a 5-2 loss to Zambia and an 8-3 loss to the host nation, Morocco.

Head coach of Ghana Futsal Philip Boakye acknowledged Angola’s dominance while also stressing the players’ growth from the match.

“Angola was the superior team. This, in my opinion, is our main argument, and we have thoroughly researched the only nations represented in this competition. We’re going to finish our homework at home.”
