Former Asante Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe is confident that Dreams FC will secure a spot in the final against Zamalek at the Kumasi Baba Yara Stadium.

After a goalless draw in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup tie in Cairo on April 21, 2024, the tie remains open with anticipation intensifying ahead of the return fixture.

Dreams FC showed resilience against one of Africa’s top clubs, despite facing a total of 25 shots, only six of which were on target and are hopeful of advancing to the final.

Bekoe, speaking to Akoma FM, emphasised the importance of coach Karim Zito and John Antwi’s experience in guiding Dreams FC through the competition.

“I believe they have been together for a long time because of their cohesiveness, telepathy, and all-around play. They also have one veteran player who is playing a key role, John Antwi.

“He is doing fantastically, utilising his experience with the team to great effect. And with an experienced coach like Karim Zito, we know his track record and the phases he has gone through, so I’m not surprised because I know he’s the right Man for the job.”
After Dreams and Zamalek played to a scoreless draw in Cairo, Eric Bekoe is full of confidence that Dreams will win the second leg in Kumasi and go to the finals.
“I  also have faith in Zito, the boys, and the technical team. I think Zito will cross that bridge at Baba Yara with this draw.”

Dreams FC are gearing up for a more competitive second-leg match in Kumasi on Sunday, April 28, 2024. As debutants in the competition, Dreams FC aim to solidify its reputation in the Confederation Cup by securing a spot in the final.
