Following Bayern Munich’s third successive defeat, CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen has given an update on the future of coach Thomas Tuchel.

The team’s 3-2 loss to Bochum intensified speculation about Tuchel’s position, but Dreesen has clarified that there are no plans to sack the coach at least not immediately.

Despite the recent poor run, including losses to Bayer Leverkusen and Lazio, Dreesen stated that Tuchel’s job is secure for the time being. The CEO refused to offer a “monstrous statement” of support but emphasised the team’s focus on upcoming matches.

Dreesen addressed the media, stating, “I don’t believe in these monstrous statements of support for coaches. I’ve already said something about this, but it’s not a question that arises for us today. We have to concentrate on the next games.”

When questioned about Tuchel’s status for the next week, Dreesen affirmed, “Of course!”

The recent downturn in form has left Bayern Munich eight points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen. The club faces another challenging fixture against RB Leipzig on February 24, following their disappointing performances in the domestic league and the Champions League.

While Tuchel is reportedly not considering resignation and has been assured that his position is safe, the pressure continues to mount as Bayern strives to regain its winning form in the upcoming matches.
