Bayer Leverkusen secured their spot in the German Cup final after a commanding 4-0 victory over Fortuna Dusseldorf in the semi-final clash.

Jeremie Frimpong and Amine Adil found the net early on to give Bundesliga leaders Leverkusen a comfortable lead within the first 20 minutes.

Florian Wirtz added two more goals, including one from the penalty spot, to seal Leverkusen’s dominance before and after halftime.

The triumph sets up a final showdown with Kaiserslautern, who secured their place with a 2-0 victory over Saarbrucken in the semi-finals.

Leverkusen, led by manager Xabi Alonso, continue their unbeaten run this season and are in contention for three major trophies. T

hey currently lead the Bundesliga by 13 points and are set to face West Ham in the Europa League quarter-finals later this month.

This will be Leverkusen’s first German Cup final since 2020, when they suffered a defeat to Bayern Munich.

The eagerly anticipated final is scheduled to take place on May 25th at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.
