Antoine Semenyo became the highest-scoring Ghanaian in the Premier League this season, helping Bournemouth come from behind to defeat Luton Town 4-3 in a thrilling encounter at Vitality Stadium.

Semenyo’s brace in the second half saw Bournemouth bounce back from a 3-0 deficit, denying Luton the chance to climb out of the Premier League relegation zone.

The striker’s goals were a testament to his clinical finishing and determination, as he single-handedly turned the game around for his team.

Luton had taken a 10th-minute lead through Jordan Clark’s perfectly weighted cross, which was headed home by the unmarked Chong from six yards out. Chong was also involved in Luton’s second goal, playing a one-two with Alfie Doughty before the left wing-back’s low cross was finished at the far post by Ogbene.

The visitors continued to dominate, with Barkley firing into the roof of Neto’s net from 12 yards shortly before half-time.

However, Solanke’s sensational finish in the 57th minute gave Bournemouth a glimmer of hope. The forward trapped Chris Mepham’s looping header deftly turned Daiki Hashioka and finished with a clip over Thomas Kaminski.

Three minutes later, Bournemouth levelled the score through Ukrainian centre-back Zabarnyi, who headed home from close range amid a crowd of bodies following a corner. Semenyo then took centre stage, cutting inside from the right and powering a low left-footed drive inside Kaminski’s near post to make it 3-3.

The winger completed his brace and sealed the win for Bournemouth with six minutes remaining, blasting home the winner after Luton lost possession in their own half.

Semenyo’s impressive performance takes him to seven goals for the season, making him the highest-scoring Ghanaian in the Premier League. He surpasses Mohammed Kudus, who has six goals, and Jordan Ayew, who has four.
