Nyantakyi’s ban takes immediate effect[/caption] World football-governing body FIFA has handed a 90-day provisional ban to embattled Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi from engaging in any football activity. The decision was taken on Friday upon the request of the chairperson of the investigatory chamber of FIFA’s Ethics Committee, Claudia Maria Rojas. “The duration of the ban may be extended for an additional period not exceeding 45 days,” a media advisory released by the Committee on Friday said. “During this time, Mr Nyantakyi is banned from all football activities at both national and international level (administrative, sports or any other). “The ban comes into force immediately.” The GFA President came under investigation from the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) of the Ghana Police Service after President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo reported him.
