Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac has decided to start youngster Fatawu Issahaku in Tuesday night’s must-game against Comoros.

The four-time champions are in a serious predicament in the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.

Black Stars are currently third in Group C with just one, as they gear up to take on debutants Comoros in the final group stage tie. As such, there is a huge risk that Black Stars might be eliminated if they fail to win.

And Rajevac has given 17-year-old Issahaku the nod and left Joseph Paintsil on the bench despite the Genk man playing well against Morocco and Gabon.

Goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott retains his place, along with left-back Baba Rahman and centre-backs Daniel Amartey and Alexander Djiku. However, the Strasbourg man will have to tread carefully as he is one yellow card away from being ruled out of the potential last 16 tie.

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey was booked against Gabon and, like Djiku, has to be very careful. Also starting is St Pauli playmaker Daniel-Kofi Kyereh.

Kamaldeen Sulemana, captain Andre Ayew and his brother Jordan Ayew complete the starting lineup.

Below is the starting XI

GK: Jojo Wollacot

DF: Andy Yiadom, Baba Rahman, Daniel Amartey, Alexander Djiku

MF: Thomas Partey, Edmund Addo, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Fatawu Issahaku

FW: Jordan Ayew, Andre Ayew
