Leicester City forward Fatawu Issahaku is elated after netting his debut goal for the club, and he attributes his successful strike to the inspiration provided by Nigerian teammate Kelechi Iheanacho.

Issahaku’s moment of glory came in Leicester’s 3-1 triumph over Swansea City on Saturday. Despite an early lead for Swansea, with Matt Grimes scoring in the 20th minute, Leicester fought back as Jannik Vestergaard’s goal just before half-time levelled the score.

With the game evenly poised, it was Issahaku, who stepped up. He delivered a powerful shot from the box, beating the goalkeeper and propelling Leicester into the lead for the first time in the match. Kelechi Iheanacho then sealed the victory with an additional goal in the 87th minute.

In the wake of his striking performance, Issahaku couldn’t contain his joy, stating, “I can’t even explain how I’m feeling right now, but Kele (Iheanacho) always tells me to score, so I scored.”

Since his arrival at Leicester from Portuguese side Sporting on loan during the summer, Issahaku has been on a good run. He has two goal contributions so far, which is more than he managed last season in Portugal.
