Ebusua Dwarfs, Legon Cities game called off

Ghana Premier League week 23 game between Legon Cities and Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium has been called off after referees of the game failed to continue with the second half.

Legon Cities Football Club were leading 1-0 at half time through Richmond Antwi’s strike.

The center referee for the game Alpha Adey failed to show up on the pitch to continue with the second half despite players of the two teams coming to the field.

According to reports, the match officials received threats from fans and club officials and felt it wasn’t safe to continue with the game.

This led to the game being called off.

The Ghana Football Association is yet to communicate their decision on the matter.
