Dogboe can’t wait to take Magdaleno apart

In a fight of huge significance to Ghana boxing, Paul Dogboe, the omnipresent father and coach of Isaac, is counting on the 23-year-old to beat the American and begin a period of dominance in his weight division like Azumah Nelson did at the peak of his powers in the 80s and 90s. “Magdaleno is going down that’s all I can say. Isaac is too hungry for this fight. We are going to see Azumah Nelson reborn,” Paul told KweseESPN. The former amateur boxer has been the biggest inspiration in Isaac’s career, guiding it every step of the way and watching him first overcome his Olympic disappointment to a pro at the highest level. He has 18 wins out of 18 fights with 12 knockouts but acknowledges that Saturday could be his biggest moment yet. “Fighting on ESPN with the world watching will be great,” Isaac says. “It is an opportunity to put ourselves out there. It cannot get any better.
