Ghanaian champions Hasaacas Ladies FC have been drawn in Group B alongside Nigeria’s Rivers Angels and Association Sportive de la Police from Niger.
Group A is made of Onze Soeurs de Gagnoa of Cote d’Ivoire, Union Sportive des forces Armees from Burkina Faso and Togolese side Amis du Monde FC.
The zonal qualifiers will take place from July 17 to 30 in Abidjan at the Robert Champroux stadium.
Also, draws for UNAF and CECAFA zones will be held this week.
To decide the teams that will participate in the final competition in Egypt later this year, Zonal Qualifiers will be played as eliminatory rounds.
The top six teams (one from each CAF Zone) and the host of the final tournament (Egypt) as well as one extra team from the Zone holding the title of the previous Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (2018) will qualify to the final tournament.
This means WAFU zone has two slots since Nigeria are the current holders of the African title. Thus, winners of Group A and Group B will be in Egypt.
Hasaacas Ladies are confident of excelling after winning a historic domestic double this season.
