Brazil will open their campaign against Switzerland[/caption] With exactly a month to go for the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, five-time champions Brazil have finalized their squad for the tournament. By FIFA’s regulations, provisional squads of between 30 and 35 players must be made available 30 days before kick-off. Most participating nations on Monday, May 14 revealed their provisional squads except for the Selecao, who released a final 23-man squad. The squads are to be finalised 10 days before the tournament starts. But Brazil’s gesture could be seen as a strong message from coach Tite as regards the ambitions of his side. They are chasing a sixth title, having won the trophy in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002. Brazil are in Group E with Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia. They will begin their campaign against Switzerland on 17 June at Rostov Arena. Brazil exited the tournament last time, on home soil, embarrassingly to eventual champions, Germany, in a 7-1 semi-final defeat. Leading Tite’s charges will be Paris-Saint Germain trio of Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and golden boy Neymar.
