Brazil beat Serbia to top Group E

Brazil sailed through to the knock-out round of the ongoing FIFA World Cup after a 2-0 win over Serbia in their final Group E game on Wednesday. Two goals in either half of the game in Moscow saw Brazil win the group with seven points. They are joined by Switzerland, who were held 2-2 by Costa Rica, in the other final group game. Going into the game, Brazil needed a win to avoid any upsets which have characterized the tournament. Already, holders Germany have been sent home.
