Black Stars have begun their preparations for upcoming friendly matches against Mexico and the United States.

In Charlotte, 19 players, including key figures like Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew, and Richard Ofori, have reported to the team’s camp ahead of the games. West Ham midfielder Mohammed Kudus is expected to arrive on Wednesday.

They held their first training session at the Charlotte FC training facility in readiness for the match against Mexico on October 14. The team will continue training in the days leading up to the Mexico game, and after that, they will face the United States at the GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 17.

Unfortunately, injuries have forced Tariq Lamptey, Daniel Amartey, Alexander Djiku, and Osman Bukari to pull out of the two friendlies. They’ve been replaced by Kingsley Schindler, Jerome Opoku, and Stephan Ambrosius.

These friendlies are a warm-up for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros next month. Black Stars are eager to make the most of these preparations for a strong showing in the upcoming qualifiers.
