Black Starlets secure win over Spain in UEFA U-16 youth development tournament

Black Starlets on Saturday extended their impressive run in the UEFA U-16 youth development tournament with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Spain in their second game. 

The star of the game was Benjamin Tsivanyo, who scored twice to take his tally to five goals in just two games, while Peter Hammond added another goal to secure the win for the Black Starlets.

The win takes Ghana to the top of the table after they thrashed host Serbia 4-0 in their first game. Karim Zito’s boys have been in impressive form in the tournament so far, with a total of seven goals in just two games and occupy the first position in the group.

Their next opponents will be Switzerland on Tuesday, April 18, and the team will be hoping to continue their winning form and maintain their position at the top of the table.

The team was supported by Black Stars players Osman Bukari, Edmund Addo, and Samuel Owusu, as well as some Ghanaian residents in Serbia.
