Evans Mensah was named Man of the Match in Ghana’s 1-1 draw with Cameroon[/caption] Black Meteors’ Number 20 Evans Mensah was on Friday named in the Best XI of the just-ended Africa U-23 Cup of Nations. Mensah scored two important goals for his side in the knock-out stages. He scored the equaliser in the 2-2 semi-final game with losing finalists Ivory Coast and on Friday proved an important player in the Black Meteors set-up as he cancelled the South Africans’ lead and gave an assist to Samuel Obeng for the second equaliser. The former Inter Allies player was named Man of the Match in Ghana’s opening 1-1 draw with Cameroon. He was the only Ghanaian player named in the tournament Best XI. In all, there were five players from the champions Egypt with four from Ivory Coast.
