Asante Kotoko played a goalless game in their first outing in this year’s CAF Confed Cup[/caption] Asante Kotoko have been drawn against two Zambian sides for the group phase of the 2018/2019 CAF Confederation Cup. The draw held on Monday sees the Ghanaians in Group C. They will play Zambian giants ZESCO United and their rivals Nkana FC. Asante Kotoko will also play Sudanese giants Al Hilal. The Procupine Warriors made it into the group phase for the first time in 10 years after ditching Cameroonian champions Coton Sport de Garoua.
The Porcupine Warriors beat them home-and-away in a 5-3 aggregate scoreline. The draw also means that Ghana’s sole continental representatives play three CAF Champions League sides – who dropped to the second-tier competition.
