Asante Kotoko ended their poor run at home in the Ghana Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Aduana FC at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday night.

This victory marked a significant turnaround for Kotoko, putting an end to their seven-game winless streak in Kumasi.

The turning point in the match came just after the half-hour mark when Kalo Ouattara soared high to head home a well-delivered cross from Richmond Nii Lamptey. The goal is Ouattara’s second of the season after scoring the winner in Kotoko’s win over Accra Lions last Monday.

This lone goal proved to be the difference in the tightly contested game, securing the vital three points for Asante Kotoko and ending their home predicament in the league.

The victory also marked back-to-back league wins for Kotoko, the first time they achieved this feat since November 2022.

The Porcupine Warriors will be looking to build on this momentum as they continue their campaign in the Ghana Premier League.
