Arsenal are reportedly considering the sale of Thomas Partey in the upcoming January transfer window as part of their strategy to raise funds for new signings.

Manager Mikel Arteta is keen on reinforcing his squad to secure Arsenal’s first Premier League title in two decades. A primary focus for Arteta is acquiring a new midfielder, and a forward is also on his transfer wishlist. However, to facilitate these additions, the club may need to part ways with current players.

Thomas Partey, who has been limited to four Premier League appearances this season due to injury, could be among those departing. His return to action is anticipated in January, but his absence is expected to continue as he joins the Ghana squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Arsenal had contemplated selling Partey following the arrival of Declan Rice in July but did not receive a suitable bid before the deadline. Juventus is now reportedly expressing interest in signing the 30-year-old midfielder, with club officials said to have engaged in talks with his representatives last month.

Partey, who joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in 2020, experienced a standout season last term amid injuries, with the club’s management looking to capitalize on his potential sale to strengthen the squad.
