The 2020-2021 Ghana Premier League season entered into Week 3 with some clubs hoping to grab their first win of the season and others looking forward to continuing their good form.
Continental football returned so two Ghanaian clubs – AshantiGold SC and Asante Kotoko – were representing Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup and CAF Champions League respectively, resulting in their GPL Week 3 fixtures being postponed.
Week 3 recorded the least number of goals – 9 – since the season started.

Gyan makes legon cities debut
Asamoah Gyan made his Legon Cities debut at the Accra Sports Stadium when the Royals faced Medeama Sporting Club in Week three of the GPL.
He came on in the 70th minute to make the much awaited debut performance.
Agyenim Boateng’s goal drought continues
Remember ‘Agyegoal’? Remember the hype that surrounded Agyenim Boateng’s move to Dreams FC during the window? Well he has gone three games without scoring in the topflight.

His assistant coach Wilfred Dormon said the drought is a worry for him but they will help to find his scoring boot soon.
“Strikers are born to score and is a worry for him but we keep encouraging him, we keep designing training sessions that will encourage him to score,” he said.
Karela United top of the league log
Karela United are the current league leaders after their week three win over Dreams FC.
The Pride and Passion boys have been solid so far this season – they have picked two wins at home and a draw away which leaves them with 7 points to top the log.
Hearts of Oak are also at the bottom of table after picking a single point in two games played.
Dwarfs, Allies pick first win
Ebusua Dwarfs picked their first win this season. They had drawn against Elmina Sharks in Week One and lost to Eleven Wonders away.
They responded to the poor start with a win over Berekum Chelsea at home.
Inter Allies also had their first win of the season against Accra Hearts of Oak.
Richmond Lamptey’s sumpteous strike
Richmond Lamptey scored what many have described as the goal of the season contender against Accra Hearts of Oak.
He received a pass 30 yards away from the Hearts of Oak goal post. He sent in a long shot from the long distance to easily beat Richard Atta.
