2018 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations draw slated for Oct 21

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced Sunday, October 21 as date on which the draw for the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations will be held. Eight nations including hosts Ghana will be involved in the draw to be held in Accra. Already, the continent’s sport-governing body has opened the window for accreditation to media personnel interested in covering the draw and attending the final tournament. The Black Queens will automatically be drawn in Group A and, as a result, play the opening game. Three other teams will join them in Group A while four will be drawn in the other group, Group B. The tournament will be held from Saturday, November 17 to Saturday, December 1 in Accra and Cape Coast. The qualified teams are Ghana, as hosts, former champions Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea as well as Algeria, Cameroon, Mali, South Africa and Zambia.  ]]>
