2018 AWCON: 15-member LOC for Cape Coast inaugurated

A fifteen-member committee has been constituted by the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the 2018 African Women Cup of Nation (AWCON) to oversee all the activities of the competition at the Cape Coast Stadium in the Central Region. The Robert Sarfo Mensah Stadium is one of the two venues scheduled for the 2018 AWCON which begins from November 17 to December 1, 2018. The committee members are:

  1. Thomas Adjei Baffoe –          Deputy Central Regional Minister
  2. George Osafo Agyei – Nsa Regional Director
  3. Nana Amaba Eyiba 1 – Efutu Queenmother
  4. Chief Sup. Jonathan Lamptey – Security
  5. Dir, John Ekow Otoo – Health
  6. Eva Oteng – Nsa Estate
  7. Amy Fynn Thompson – Member
  8. Robert Duncan – Rfa
  9. Frank Hutchful- Member
  10. Kofi Essuman – Member
  11. Nana Kweku Enu – Chief of Kokoado/Apewosika
  12. Asante Fokuo(Media) – Atl Cape Coast
  13. Ernest Arthur
  14. Heroine Bart-Plange
  15. Mrs. Caroline Ewusi
The 2018 AWCON will be hosted in Accra and Cape Coast. The Achimota School park and the El-Wak Stadium will be training venues for teams to be based in Accra while those in Cape Coast will have their training sessions at the Ndoum Stadium and the Robert Mensah Stadium.
