Award-winning songwriter and vocalist Afriyie Wutah has expressed that most Ghanaian artistes are not fit for the international market since they are groomed as entertainers and not musicians.

Speaking on Onua Weekend Party with DJ Willie, Wutah stated, “I think the major problem now is we are grooming more entertainers than musicians, most of our current crop of artistes are entertainers, they are not musicians.”

The talented vocalist was throwing more light on the challenges the Ghana music industry is facing and how such challenges could be addressed.

Wutah emphasized that most of our musicians are unable to perform very well during live shows. He is of the view that as a virtuoso, one must possess the ability to give audiences a great performance during live shows.

Undoubtedly, most Ghanaian artistes have struggled to give Ghanaians specular performances at award shows, concerts and other events.
