Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy while acknowledging that beefs are part of the music industry, he maintained that they are not something he will encourage.

The ‘Kpo K3K3’ hit singer observed that beefs, while they may be necessary, will not help the industry achieve its targets.

Rapper Sarkodie on April 6, got the industry buzzing after he released ‘Sub Zero’, a track some Ghanaians alleged was a jab to rapper Ball J, Asem and dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.

Reacting to the song in an interview on TV3 New Day with MzGee on Tuesday, Shatta Wale said he was disappointed in Sarkodie.

“Sarkodie is talking about beef and the industry is happy. I’m disappointed, I thought you were going to tell me he’s donated some few things to some needy people but if Sarkodie has really thrown a shot at me in this time of our life where people are dying when people need help…,” he said.

The Sub Zero song has seen rappers Ball J and Asem release materials to reply Sarkodie.

Commenting on the on-going beefs and chaos in the music industry, Stonebwoy, speaking in an interview with MzGee on New Day, said this is not new.

“In the entertainment industry, it always has to be tensed to get it going. It’s a battlefield literary and they say life is war. It applies everywhere. As far as I am concerned I see that yes people are releasing stuffs. I’m going about my stuffs as well releasing singles off my album…,” the dancehall act noted.

Beefs, he noted, are part of the music vibes but I do not “think beefs will bring us what we seek to achieve in a long run as an industry so I wouldn’t be one of the persons to encourage that part of the music scene”

The award-winning dancehall act is set to release his latest album, ‘Anloga Junction’ on April 24.
