2021 VGMA Artiste of the Year nominee Diana Hamilton has bagged her first award of the night, picking the Best Gospel Song of the Year.
Her song Adom beat the likes of Yesu Mo by Joe Mettle, Jesus by MOG Music, Favor Everywhere by Celestine Donkor and Blessed by Akesse Brempong to the award.
Diana Hamilton has been tipped to win the Artiste of the Year to follow the steps of Joe Mettle, with whom she opened the night’s performance at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
In 2017, Joe Mettle became the first gospel artiste to win the Artiste of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards since its inception.
