Some Chief Executive Officers and well known personalities in the banking, entertainment and public sectors took over the airwaves of TV3 on May 1 2018, as Ghana marks Workers Day across the country. The initiative as undertaken by Media General, operators of TV3, 3FM, Onua FM, Connect FM, Akoma FM and 3news.com aims at celebrating the personalities and workers in general for their contribution in their respective fields of work. CEO of Universal Merchant Bank, John Awuah together with the MD of Saham Insurance, Mabel Nana Nyarkoah Porbley hosted TV3’s morning show, New Day. For non-professionals, the two made a perfect team as they conducted interviews, read news stories and had conversations about Ghana’s labour front. Although they all admitted it was no easy job being in front of the cameras as a host, CEO of UMB John Awuah is hopeful he would receive an appointment letter from TV3. Former Trade Minister and Member of Parliament for Kwasimintim, Joe Baidoo Ansah also hosted 3FM’s morning show, Sunrise. President of the Musicians Union of Ghana, Bice Osei Kuffuor known in showbiz circles as Obuor also took over TV3 Midday Live at 12:00pm as he anchored the one hour news bulletin. CEO of Vodafone Ghana, Yolanda Cuba, CEO of Charterhouse, Theresa Ayoade, MD of Vivo Ghana, Ebenezer Faulkner and the MD of Unilever Ghana, Ziobeieton Yeo took take charge of the station’s major news bulletin, News 360 at 7:00pm.
