Some have said the Musicians Union of GHANA (MUSIGHA) is not working as it should. Ras Caleb Appiah Levi, the Greater Accra Regional Chairman, has also confirmed to Onua 95.1FM that yes indeed MUSIGHA is not working as it is supposed to be. Ras Levi disclosed that when he was inducted into office in 2016 as the Greater Accra Region Chairman, his predecessor Tic Tac never gave him any handing over notes for him to know the state of the regional branch of the Union. “I met a dormant account with Stanbic Bank. I asked Tic Tac for documents but he couldn’t provide anything for me to work with.” When the host of entertainment talk show Anigye Mmre, Christian Agyei Frimpong, asked Ras Caleb Appiah Levi the number of registered members in Greater Accra Region, he was very emphatic to disclose that he doesn’t know because the national office handles registration of members. He claims he has written to and asked national executives to give him the list of members but it seems it is not readily available. Ras Caleb Appiah Levi disclosed that he organizes meetings once every month for members and sometimes it’s difficult getting funds to run the Greater Accra branch of the union because they don’t get the needed funds from the national office.
